START OF KANNAWIDAN

“Los Patrones Procession” or most local people call it the “Prosisyon ti Los Patrones” where people from different municipalities gather around and parade their own Patron Saints as an opening for Kannawidan 2023 held in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

Kannawidan means “tawid”, also means in English “heritage” or “inheritance”. It commemorates the separation of the two Ilocos Provinces in 1818.

You will see a lot of events that are colourful and exciting! It shows the culture of Ilocos Sur people and their religious parts.

You can see different Saints above on a float that is being wheeled by men, parading them across different parts of town.

I believe that this occasion is very unique as an opening for lots of more events to come. Municipalities can express their own saints and can parade with other municipalities as they walk around Vigan.

Guess this is it!

I vaguely remember the first quarter of the school year, maybe because it was filled with class issues in the ICT room. But as time has passed, the class grew together more and lessons inside that room were more entertaining. I can’t believe that this is my last reflection for this school year, the last performance task I’m passing to the teacher. For this last reflection, I thank all of the very important people that have contributed for this school year. My teachers, friends, and families. In the next 10 years, I aspire to work in a healthcare facility where I can apply my knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care to patients. Whether it's in a hospital, nursing home, or community health center, I want to be a part of a team that is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of others. As a soon-to-be nurse, I see myself in a position where I can make a real difference in people's lives. I am driven by the desire to help others, and I believe that nursing is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling careers out there. To achieve my goal of becoming a nurse, I am going to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at a good university.
