  The day of hearts. For everyone, this is a special day when you can dedicate your love to each other. It can be to your family, friends, significant other, or your crush. A day dedicated to love among people.  My Valentine’s day last 14 was very beautiful to me since I got to experience love from all different people. My friends and my family. It was very nice to feel it and it was a very great experience. I got to buy my mother a bouquet, which came from me and my father. My parents expressing love to each other during Valentine’s is wonderful, instead of taking, it’s about giving to them. What was more beautiful was that I loved seeing love from people giving it to others.  A day dedicated to love and adoration is very special for each other. Very special to the world. It is a day where people can express themselves and maybe even confess their feelings.

“Los Patrones Procession” or most local people call it the “Prosisyon ti Los Patrones” where people from different municipalities gather around and parade their own Patron Saints as an opening for Kannawidan 2023 held in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Kannawidan means “tawid”, also means in English “heritage” or “inheritance”. It commemorates the separation of the two Ilocos Provinces in 1818. You will see a lot of events that are colourful and exciting! It shows the culture of Ilocos Sur people and their religious parts. You can see different Saints above on a float that is being wheeled by men, parading them across different parts of town. I believe that this occasion is very unique as an opening for lots of more events to come. Municipalities can express their own saints and can parade with other municipalities as they walk around Vigan.
